Someone called the show Monday and said “The heritage foundation does not have an agenda”. This came after I pointed out that we should always take with a grain of salt anything that comes from a source that has an agenda.
It is common sense when deciphering information that one always consider the source and be aware of what their agenda is. This doesn’t mean they are lying but it means that what they are presenting is selective in proving whatever agenda they have. Many sources with an agenda will choose to leave out things that go against their agenda when disclosing research or study results.
This of course offends people who are blatantly told by an organization that they are “A conservative Think Tank” but yet they refuse to acknowledge the organizations own admission as to what they are. I wonder what it is about ultra conservatives that make them so convinced that “their side” doesn’t have an agenda but yet everybody else does. It is always the same things….
The EPA is involved in some conspiracy
The President is involved in some conspiracy
George Soros has all the money in the world and his plan involves funding secret muslims hell bent on making the world socialist (which actually if true would mean Soros would have to give up his money)
The Media ( Other than Fox news) is involved in some conspiracy
Economists and Scientist don’t know what they are talking about and always lie
The wife of the buddy with the drinking problem, who saw a big fat black woman driving an Escalade and buying Lobster with food stamps while bragging about how she has a big screen tv, is always a reliable 100% trustworthy source.
Everything on facebook that bashes Obama is real
Everything on facebook that quotes sources and facts that disproves the Obama bashing is Fake
Anything on NPR is a lie
Anything out of Ann Coulter’s mouth is brilliant
and of course a group that calls itself a CONSERVATIVE THINK TANK does NOT have a Conservative Agenda
Anyway, thanks for the promo material.
