Thanks Blackhawks for keeping me up all night
Thanks Blackhawks for keeping me up all night

Who would have ever guessed that a hockey game would be the reason for so many people being tired on a Thursday?

It happened last night as game 1 of the Stanley Cup Championship series didn’t end until after midnight Central time. The game which was tied at 3-3 at the end of regulation went into not one, not two, but three Overtime periods. Finally the Blackhawks pulled it out on a shot that was deflected by two Blackhawks (one for each completed OT period) and then into the net to make the sold out crowd in Chicago and all of us watching at home go crazy.

As I think back to the 40+ years I have been on this planet I cant remember a time where I ever stayed up late in order to watch Hockey. Last night was a first but because the game was so awesome I dont think it will be the last.

Oh and one more thing… Let’s go Blackhawks!!
