Everybody knew James Gandolfini as the amazing Tony Soprano. He was awesome as the mob boss who has mother issues, family problems, and a weekly visit to the shrink. He was the star of the Soprano’s and a great leading man in that role.
Gandolfini was a great actor in all roles though. Even ones where he wasnt the lead.
A great movie called “Not Fade Away” came out last year and Gandolfini was one of the stars. He wasnt the lead though, he was the leads father. AND he was amazing. His subdued performance was the stuff that great actors are made of. Take a look at what a great actor can do in a scene by conveying emotion with every part of your body and not just your words.
Its a shame we lost James Gandolfini so young. He was only 51 and I feel he wasn’t done moving us yet.
Rest in Peace Tony, Rest in Peace
