Penny Watkins joined me on the show Thursday. Her son was murdered by Shirley Skinner in 2009. You probably remember the case as its continued to be in the news. Steven Watkins was in a custody battle with his ex wife who was being unreasonable according to the judge in the custody case. She wouldnt allow Steven to see his child. The court ordered visitation where he would go to meet his ex at her grandmothers house to pick up his daughter. One day he ended up dead.

The grandmother was found guilty of shooting him at close range execution style, She has been sentenced to spend the rest of her life in jail. Meanwhile the ex wife Jennifer continues to defy the Illinois courts by not allowing the Watkins family to see their granddaughter. Jennifer Webster has been arrested in Florida under a civil warrant a year ago but was released. She is now hiding from the police as a criminal warrant has been issued for her. Meanwhile Penny Watkins is not allowed to see her grandchild. All this is explained in the interview she gave on Thursdays show.

The main reason she agreed to be on was to let us know that Jennifer Websters family is now attempting to get Shirley Skinner released via a petition to Governor Pat Quinn. Listen to the interview for ways you can have your voice heard to keep this woman in jail.
