Legalized pot is a thing
Legalized pot is a thing
2014 has marked the beginning of Colorado becoming a huge travel destination. thousands of out of stater visitors made the flight and or drive to the mile high state on Wednesday and Thursday in order to be some of the first Americans to buy legal pot!

The state of Colorado has become the first state to legalize recreational pot. Thats right weed is now legal to buy in the state of Colorado. If you are a citizen you can legally buy up to an ounce at a time. a non citizen can buy a quarter of an ounce. The cost for recreational pot is around 70 bucks for an 8th of an ounce. The cost for medicinal marijuana by the way is around 25 bucks for the same amount but you need a doctors prescription to get that. The most interesting aspect of the marijuana sales is the fact that the state and local taxes are getting around 25% of each sale and it is quickly adding up. Imagine what will happen if the state of Colorado solves its money problems with legalized pot. States like ours where the legislation needs to find an extra 100 million bucks just to make pension payments will be looking at colorado and asking how they did it. Colorado is using consumer demand to find a taxable solution to their states problems. I imagine the twinkie and dorito tax increase is next.
