End Tax Breaks for outsourcing NOW
I don’t know about the rest of you but I can see that one of the biggest problems we have had during our current and seemingly endless economic downturn has been a lack of jobs. It seems whenever we get some job gains we see or hear a story announcing that another major us corporation has decided to ship jobs overseas.

Although that usually means good news for CEOs who get bonuses based on expense savings for the rest of us it is never good news. More Jobs in the US means more people making an income that they spend to drive the economy. it also means less people on Unemployment or food stamps or other government spending that the Republicans in Congress are always complaining about.

Having said all that I have to scratch my head when I see things like what I saw yesterday.

Senate Bill S2569also known as the “Bring Jobs Home Act” was squashed by Senate Republicans who opposed it.

The bill for those that dont know would finally put an end to the long standing practice of huge Corporations getting a Tax cut for sending jobs overseas and It would end any tax breaks the companies would get while writing off moving expenses.

This isnt the first time the elimination of the outsourcing tax breaks has been blocked. President Obama has brought it up at two different State of the union speeches and both time was meant with boos.

I try to wrap my head around this but just cant. There is absolutely no reason the Republicans shouldnt be behind this bill other than to just be against anything that Obama supports.

This one makes no sense and the American Public needs to get behind it and demand it be reconsidered.
