Donald Sterling is not the only person we should question in the NBA
Donald Sterling is not the only person we should question in the NBA

BT Sport Industry Awards held at Battersea Evolution - Arrivals.Featuring: David SternWhere: London, United KingdomWhen: 08 May 2014Credit: Daniel Deme/WENN.comThe Friday before Memorial day the NBA announced that Donald Sterling had given up control of his team the LA CLIPPERS to his ex-wife and she will oversee the selling of the team to interested parties asap which might be as early as this summer. This is finally going to put to rest the embarrassing donald sterling racist comments scandal that has marred this years NBA playoffs . But as this is put to rest, jumping to life will be the next question… why did it take so long? Donald Sterling has been accused several times over th last dozen years of of racist actions.

He has been fined for showing preference to whites over minority renters several times in his real estate dealings. he was sued by Elgin Baylor who was the clippers GM and an african american former nba star. Baylor while working for Sterling alleged several times of sterlings tendencies and notified the nba of certain things that were essentially ignored by then comissioner David stern. IN fact there are new questions coming up as to why David Stern gave sterling a free pass several times. This is the next question that people will have. Why did David Stern not do anything? Adam silver the current commisioner sat in the assistant chair the last time questions came up about sterling and is alleged to have told Stern to punish sterling and Stern never did. It was no surprise that silver bounced sterling the first chance he got. The praise for silver has been universally positive and rightfully so for the expedience in which he acted but someone needs to start looking back and questioning former commisioner Stern who incorrectly has been put on an imaginary mt rushmore of big league commissioners. Its time to take David stern down from that imaginary mountain and start asking him why
