Springfield welcomes new engineering firm



In efforts to increase minority employment The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Springfield Black Chamber of Commerce welcomed Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. (IEI) to Springfield. The engineering firm arrives as part of the Quantum Growth Partnership's (Q5) efforts for more minority inclusion and business development. Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. President and CEO, Michael Sutton says his goal is to help out as much as he can in the community. The goal of Q5 to increase the percentage of local businesses with minority purchasing programs, and to cut minority unemployment by half, to 7.5 percent.
