Grants given to organizations promoting Lincoln

Looking for Lincoln awarded grants to 17 communities in Central Illinois dedicated to sharing the history of Abraham Lincoln. $28,800 worth of grants were funded for Looking for Lincoln by the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation.
Executive Director of the Looking for Lincoln Heritage Coalition Sarah Watson presented the grants checks to recipients her organization felt were committed to telling the stories of Lincoln's life and times. She believes one of the most important things for Looking for Lincoln to do is to find ways to support these organizations. Local grant recipients include the Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County, the Springfield Art Association, and the Historic Marbold Farmstead Association of Menard County.
