The City of Springfield Office of Public Works has announced that the Rutledge Avenue between Reynolds and Carpenter Streets will be closed starting Monday, March 18th,  to repair a sewer lateral.  The closure should last three days, weather permitting.   Motorists that disregard the Road Closed and Do Not Enter signs are subject to a $250.00 fine.
