Sangamon Co. DIRT Team Makes Arrests

The Sangamon County Sheriff's Drug Interdiction Response, or DIRT team, found 400 grams of cannabis in a home in the 300 block of south Livingston Wednesday morning. Deputies also found scales and several types of drug paraphernalia

Deputies arrested 24 year old Braxton Buchanan, and his mother 46 year old Michelle Buchanan on charges of  possession of cannibis over 30 grams, delivery of cannibis over 30 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The DIRT team was reactivated this week after being disbanded in 2009 due to lack of funds.
