Statewide Tornado Drill Will Not Happen Today, As Scheduled.
The statewide tornado drill scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month at 10am will be postponed today due to the winter storm in Chicago and other areas. The test will be conducted tomorrow instead, Wednesday, March 6th at 10am. This is Severe Weather Preparedness Week. The tests are done to make sure equipment is working that is used to warn the public of bad weather.
