New rebates available for solar power systems

Rebates are once again available to residential and business customers of CWLP looking to install solar electric (photovoltaic -PV) systems. Applicants must be pre-approved for CWLP's "Solar Rewards" and have the necessary building permits. Rebate applications will be accepted starting 9am on Wednesday and can be requested by emailing nrgxprts@cwlp.com or calling 789-2070. Depending on the system installed, residential customers can see a maximum rebate of 75 hundred dollars, commercial customer can get a maximum 15 thousands back per commercial account. Rebates will be processed on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. City Water Light and Power says residential customers may be able to combine the CWLP solar rebate with both Federal tax credits and State of Illinois incentives to create a more affordable renewable energy option.
