Illinois launches new health alert system

The state is improving its Health Alert System so it can inform doctors, hospitals, counselors, and clinics about major health concerns right away.  Public Health Spokeswoman Sabrina Miller says they've partnered with Web M-D to get the word out. Miller says they've already sent their first alert out on the system, letting providers know the severe flu season is starting to wane.  The flu left 84 people in Illinois dead since October.
