Bishops React to Pope's Resignation.

Bishop Daniel Conlon, with the Joliet Diocese, says the Pope's decision to resign comes as a surprise but, he says the decision is consistent with the Pope's humble disposition.  Conlon says Pope Benedict the 16th has been a true blessing, with a special gift of expressing the faith in ways that are comprehensible for current times.  He says there's no need to worry about who'll take the lead after February 28th, when the Pope officially steps aside.  Conlon says the College of Cardinals will be convened a few days later to elect a successor. The Springfield Bishop is expected to make a statement at Noon today.
