HB 190 passes IL Senate

The Senate has approved a bill which allows the state to spend an additional two-point-two-billion dollars. The bill includes 721-million dollars for the Department of Transportation, most of which will be spent to repair roads and bridges. Supporters say the proposal clears the way for hundreds of construction jobs. The bill is now headed to Governor Pat Quinn, who has already expressed support for the measure.
