CWLP Extends Washer Rebates

City Water, Light and Power’s Energy Services Office is extending its high efficiency clothes washer rebate by two weeks, to February 15^th. Residential electric and water customers of CWLP who replace an existing clothes washer with a qualifying, new high-efficiency model can be eligible for a $150 rebate.

Over 139 rebates have been processed to date and there is funding available to process 116 more. Applicants must be CWLP electric and water customers who have made a qualifying purchase during the rebate period between November 1^st, 2012, and February 15^th, 2013. Qualifying clothes washers for the rebate program are labeled by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) as “Tier 3,” the most energy- and water-efficient.

Only original rebate forms will be accepted and one rebate per household will be permitted. Rebates will be applied as a credit to the customer’s CWLP bill once approved.. Clothes washers being purchased for placement in a newly constructed home are not eligible for this program.
