Monday's Shooting in Springfield Involved a Father and Son.

A 45-year-old father and his 26-year-old son got into it yesterday evening and the father ended up shooting the son in the abdomen just before 6pm.  Undersheriff Jack Campbell says it happened in the 27-hundred block of South Pasfield.  He says they've been called down to this area many times and have familiarity with this family.  They are trying to determine what happened.  They want to know why the son came to the father's home and why the father felt the need to discharge his gun.  Campbell says at this point no one is being charged.  The 26-year-old son is in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
