Former US Attorney To Serve On University of Illinois Board.



Former US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is returning to public service.  The prosecutor whose office put former Governors George Ryan and Rod Blagojevich behind bars will be named to the University of Illinois Board of Trustees by Governor Pat Quinn.  Fitzgerald, now an attorney in private practice, will be appointed to the board seat reserved by law for a political independent.  The seat is now held by Lawrence Oliver the Second.
