Microbrewery Breaks Ground in Legacy Pointe

The Engrained Brewing Company broke ground this (Tuesday) afternoon with Springfield Mayor Mike Houston, Ward 6 Alderman Cory Jobe and Legacy Pointe developer Steve Luker.

Company owner Brent Schower is excited to locate at Legacy Pointe alongside Scheels and Quaker Steak and Lube. He says the location next to Interstate 72, plus the future outlet mall will make for a strong retail base in the future.

Engrained will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, and will brew its own beer on site in a 1,000 square foot microbrewery.

It expects doors to open in August or September of this year.
