New Holland Middletown School District Closes Early Due to Norovirus.

The Norovirus is suspected of hitting the New Holland Middletown School District hard.  Superintendent Todd Dugan says 40 percent of the school population is out with gastrointestinal, flu-like symptoms.  The Logan County Health Department recommended the school close early so custodians can disinfect the school and allow parents to make sure their kids are fever free for 24 hours before sending them back to school.  Dugan says there is a lot of vomitting involved with this sickness, aches and a high fever. He says they'll be disinfecting all student desks, handrails, water fountains and other areas with 1 part bleach and 2 parts water.  School will be in session tomorrow.  Dugan says the Logan County Health Department is testing four families for the Norovirus.
