Public Input Played A Part in New Springfield Schools Budget Recommendations.

The voices of parents, students and community members have been heard by Springfield Schools Superintendent Walter Milton.  He's made changes to his proposed cuts to the district, including changing the items targeting staffing levels at Iles and Lincoln Magnet.

"We cannot afford any kind of loss of student population or anything like that.  So, those things are driving these new decisions," says Superintendent Milton.

The Superintendent says the changes and eliminations will result in about 6.9 million, which is less than the 8 million plus originally proposed.
