Allegiant Airlines says its flights between Springfield and Fort Myers, Florida will be extended through August 12th of next year. The airline and Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport officials point out the extension is in response to strong demand. Allegiant kicked off its flights on November 16th with the original intention of ending service on April 15th.
