The Sangamon County Toys for Tots accepted a donation of much needed toys Saturday. The Ward 6 Fund raised 1700 dollars and used the money to purchase gifts for those in their teens, a group Toys for Tots has the most trouble receiving. Alderman Cory Jobe says his group was simply fulfilling its mission.
Alderman Cory Jobe it's just part of giving back. He says the Ward 6 Fund Board of Directors, himself, business owners realized and heard a need.
Sangamon County Toys for Tots coordinator Wess Barr says the donation of well over one hundred gifts for that age group will help them meet the needs of the organizations that request their services.
