Police Seek Tips on West Side Car Burgalries



Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers is this week seeking information on a string of car burglaries near White Oaks Mall.

Police say 15 cars have so far been burglarized near the mall and surrounding neighborhoods, mostly between midnight and 4 a.m. Most of the cars were unlocked and no physical evidence was recovered. A witness described the suspect as a black man in his early twenties, about 5'9".
