McCaster Appears, Bond Stays at $5 Million

A Springfield woman accused of murdering and dismembering her husband appeared in Sangamon County Court for the first time Wednesday afternoon, appearing stone faced as the seven counts against her were read.

22 year old Juatasha McCaster's bond remains at $5 million. Sangamon County State's Attorney John Milhiser says McCaster is innocent until proven guilty, but he's confident heading into the case.

McCaster is facing three counts of first degree murder, one for dismembering a human body, one for concealment of a homicide and two for obstructing justice. Her husband Norman was found near Mechanicsburg late last month, missing his head, arms and legs.
