Virden Woman Rear Ends Cop



Illinois State Police say a 22 year old Virden woman rear ended a Thayer police officer early this mornig due to the thick fog.

Tiffany Brown allegedly ran into the back of Jerry Buck's police cruiser shortly after midnight this morning on Route 4 near Tiller Road. Buck was driving more slowly than normal due to the fog's intensity.

Brown was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear a seat belt.
