Brandt to Double Headquarters Size, Springfield Workforce

An international company headquartered in Springfield is doubling both the size of its headquarters and its workforce.

Brandt Consolidated, which produces specialty agriculture products, announced it will add 22,000 square feet onto its Koke Mill headquarters, adding 40 permanent jobs in the process.

CEO Rick Brandt says the expansion was planned when the company first moved to Springfield five years ago, but the company's pace of expansion took most by surprise.

The project is expected to take about 15 months and will get underway this week.
