Home Sales Up Statewide and in Springfield.



Home sales went up in August, statewide and in Springfield.  Statewide sales went up 23.7 percent from last year with 2,543 more homes sold.  In Springfield home sales were up nearly 2 percent with six more homes selling over last August.  The Capital Area Association of Realtors says the median price in Springfield in August was up nine thousand dollars over last August, to 121-thousand dollars.  Statewide the median price was down slightly, by a thousand dollars to 147-thousand dollars.
