University of Illinois trustees have approved a budget.

The university is facing a decrease in its state appropriation, but a small boost in income from tuition, grants and contracts. The total budget is five-point-four-billion dollars.

Trustees have also okayed a new 104-million-dollar Advanced Chemical Technology Building at the U OF I-Chicago.
