Springfield Police Arrest Six in Prostitution Sting



Springfield Police arrested six people in a prostition sting late Monday night in areas scattered around town. Deputy Chief Cliff Buscher says they caught prostitutes and those looking to solicit them in northeast and southeast areas of the city, as well as Enos Park.

Buscher says police set up stings based on complaints and usually run one or two a year. He says the arrests in the Enos Park neighborhood do not indicate prostution problems from a few years ago, when a lot of activity was centered at the park itself, are returning.

Linda Doss, Stacey M. Lewis, Shelly A. Thomas and Deborah K. Coleman, all of Springfield, were arrested on prostitution charges. Damion L. Davis and Gregory L Bostic Jr., also of Springfield, are charged with solitication of a prostitute.
