Some Illinois Vets Eligible For Special License Plate

They may not qualify for disabled license plates, but some partially disabled Illinois veterans are now eligible for a special plate of their own.

House Bill 1151 creates a new designation of license plates for vets suffering from things like PTSD, hearing loss or other ailments that don't qualify them for disabled parking privileges.

The law takes effect on January 1st.
