Oak Ridge Foundation Almost Ready

Abraham Lincoln's final resting place, Oak Ridge Cemetery, will soon have a non-profit foundation bearing its name.

Mike Lelys, the cemetery's executive director, says donations to the Oak Ridge Foundation won't fund day-to-day operations like road and lawn maintenance, but rather longer term projects such as updated landscaping, GPS tours and a re-opened Third Street gate in time for the 2015 recreation of Abraham Lincoln's funeral procession.

The foundation should be up and running by the end of the month.
