A History Channel reality series is heading to Sangamon County.
The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce confirms "American Pickers" will begin filming sometime in early September with an air-date yet to be determined.
The Chamber's Nicole Selinger says the show's producers are looking for people with large, eccentric, quirky collections to pick through.
Selinger says items of historical significance to Illinois will likely be sought after.
