The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 7 o’clock Wednesday evening for all of Central Illinois.
Temperatures should reach 100-degrees with a heat index of about 106-degrees. Officials say prolonged exposure to the heat can cause heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Remember to drink plenty of water and limit outdoor activity. If you work outside, take frequent breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas.
