Planned Parenthood Probed Over Medicaid Billing

The state Medicaid inspector general is reportedly investigating Planned Parenthood of Illinois over its billing practices.

"Crain's Chicago Business" reports the probe focuses on Medicaid funds paid to Planned Parenthood of Illinois' medical director Dr. Caroline Hoke. Hoke reportedly received more than three-million dollars in Medicaid reimbursements during the 2009 fiscal year.

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services is currently withholding all payments to Planned Parenthood pending the results of an investigation.
