District 186 Looks To Cut Cell Phone Usage

The springfield school board is asking the district to cut cell phone costs.  The request could save $16,000.

The State Journal-Register reports the district typically provides cell service for the superintendent and dozens of other employees...totaling about 78 phones.  The district will pay six cents per minute and go to a pay as it's used plan.

The only employees that will have monthly plans will be the head of technology, buildings and communications.
