IDOT Rail Study for Springfield Supports Move to 10th Street.

The Illinois Department of Transportation has given its approval for the third street rail in Springfield to be moved to 10th street.  A draft environmental study shows support for the move, which is estimated to cost 315 million dollars.  The report on the city's website says the move would improve safety, reduce traffic and noise and improve business opportunities downtown.  However, there are some obstacles, including buying property that is currently on the 10th street path.
