Local facilities provide spots to cool off



During hot and dry weather, its important for people to stay cool and hydrated.

Several city buildings are open where residents can spend a few minutes out of the heat and get a cool drink of water. Municipal Center West is open normal business hours, Municipal Center East is open 24/7, and Lincoln Library is open Monday through Saturday during the summer.

Plus, the state has a cooling center at the Department of Human Services office at 100 S. Martin Luther King. They'll be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5p.m.
