District 186 fund balance still a hot topic

District 186 is still struggling with the budget for FY13.  Superintendent Walter Milton says the district will not maintain its fund balance for the year.  Milton warns that means some difficult times are coming. Administrators told the school board Monday evening that ALL ideas are being considered - even more bond issues or borrowing in order to maintain cash and fund balances.  There is concern about the district's ratings and ability to borrow if the reserve fund balance gets too low and continues to break the policies.
