Washington park bridge temporarily closed

The north bridge nearest the spillway in Washington Park's lower lagoon has been closed to vehicle traffic for repairs. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be allowed access over the bridge unless otherwise posted.

Vehicles traveling west toward the north bridge will be detoured and allowed to exit Washington Park off the Feldkamp access. Vehicles will be prohibited from entering the Washington Park from Feldkamp/Fayette Avenue until repairs are complete. Signs are up in advance of the bridge and at the Feldkamp entrance.

The repairs are expected to be completed and the bridge reopened in the next 6 to 8 weeks.
