City of Springfield Looks At Another East Side TIF.



Springfield Alderman are moving forward with a feasibility study for a second Eastside TIF.  This TIF district will have an "epicenter" around the JCPenney store and will include the new Schnuck's near Dirksen and Singer Avenue. Springfield Economic Development Director Mike Farmer says its too early to tell how much the TIF will generate. Farmer says the TIF will give a boost to the Eastside Revitalization efforts.  He indicates  the TIF implementation process should be completed by the end of the year.
