Actor Steve Carell is returning to TV as the executive producer of a zany game show which pits celebrities and comedians against each other on a sloping stage.

The former “The Office” funnyman is set to helm eight-episode series “Slide Show” on the FOX network.

The show will feature a number of stars trying to sing, dance and perform sketches – all while balancing on a stage, which is tilted at a 22.5 degree angle.

Hoping for another big TV success, Carell jokes, “Comedy is subjective. But if you don’t find ‘Slide Show’ to be funny and enormously entertaining, then you will never be my friend.”

“Slide Show” is based on an international format, which has proven to be a hit in countries such as France, Australia and Portugal, and is scheduled to premiere in countries including Spain, the Netherlands and China in the coming months.
