Spiders blamed for Toyota recall

Spiders blamed for Toyota recall

SPIDER PROBLEMS: Toyota is recalling more than 800,000 vehicles. Photo: Associated Press

Toyota is recalling 803,000 vehicles because their air bags or power steering could stop working. The Camry and Camry hybrid, Avalon and Avalon hybrid and Venza from the 2012 and 2013 model years are affected.

In some cases, the company said the issue is caused by spider webs in the air conditioning condenser, causing a blockage.

Toyota will mail notices to owners.
