Rockers KISS have launched a new Arena Football team in California.

The LA KISS will play their games at the Honda Center in Anaheim and next year’s season kick-off will include a concert by Gene Simmons’ rock band.

Simmons and KISS frontman Paul Stanley are part-owners of the team, which will use the band’s iconic logo.

Simmons says, “As a fast-paced, high-action band, this partnership with the AFL was an obvious fit for us. Attending an LA KISS game in 2014 will be similar to a live Kiss show, with thrilling, heart-pounding action.”

KISS aren’t the only rockers with links to the Arena Football League – Jon Bon Jovi was a part-owner of the Philadelphia Soul until 2010.
