Warming Centers to Open

The City of Springfield is opening warming centers for those who need to get out of the cold during the next few days.  With expected temperatures to drop below zero and several inches of snow expected, Mayor Mike Houston says the following city facilities will be open:

Municipal Center East is open 24 hours a day; Municapl Center West will be open 8a to 430pm weekdays; and the Lincoln Library is open during its normal hours.  Houston is asking neighbors and friends to check on people that may be at risk.
