Vest, Ammunition Stolen from Fire Station; Police Seek Tips

Police say a man broke into a truck to steal a tactical vest and ammunition, and they need the public’s help catching the person responsible.

Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers says a white man about six feet tall weighing 180 pounds broke into the truck last week and ran away northbound through an alley. It happened at Fire Station 6 on south 9th Street.

Anyone with anonymous information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a $1,000 reward. Call 788-8427, head online or text message tips. Type TIP 672 plus a message and send to CRIMES (274637).
