Travel Advisory…Heavy Rains Close Some Roads

Heavy rain this morning has so far closed two major thoroughfares in Springfield this morning.

Flooding at the Sangamon Avenue underpass near the fairgrounds and the Stevenson Drive underpass near the railroad tracks have both been shutdown.

No watches or warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service but heavy rain is still moving through the area from the west.  Stay tuned to WTAX for the latest.
