Nearly 3,000 people are without power in the WTAX listening area… including both those served by Ameren and City Water Light and Power.

Ameren is reporting the most outages in Macoupin and Macon counties, with smaller outages reported in Christian, DeWitt and Sangamon Counties.

CWLP says nearly 200 customers on the south side of Springfield lost power early this morning as did customers scattered throughout the city.
