State’s Top Teachers Recognized

It’s time to recognize the best – the best teachers in Illinois.

The Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Education Association and the Illinois Federation of Teachers co-hosted a luncheon at the Governor’s Mansion in Springfield today Wednesday.

“I think it helps individuals within the profession to feel good about what they’re doing,” said state schools Superintendent Chris Koch. “That’s particularly important now, when there have been so many attacks on public education.”

A list of the 29 winners is here:  http://www.isbe.net/toy/pdfs/Educator-lunch-recipients14.pdf
